According to the agreement, Tyvak, PredaSAR and SpaceX will work together in order to optimize the deployment plan for the remainder of PredaSAR’s groundbreaking constellation. It is deemed to be the world’s largest and most advanced commercial SAR satellite constellation.

PredaSAR selects SpaceX for launching its first synthetic aperture radar satellite

As reported by Space Daily, PredaSAR Corporation recently released a statement reporting that its first of the 48 advanced commercial Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites will be launched on SpaceX’s Falcon 9 launch vehicle. Tyvak Nano-Satellite Systems, Inc. is not only the launch integration provider but also the manufacturer of the spacecraft.

According to the agreement, Tyvak, PredaSAR and SpaceX will work together in order to optimize the deployment plan for the remainder of PredaSAR’s groundbreaking constellation. It is deemed to be the world’s largest and most advanced commercial SAR satellite constellation.

According to a report by Space Daily, PredaSAR CEO Maj Gen Roger Teague, USAF (Ret) commented that PredaSAR spacecraft possess the latest in space-proven, high-quality satellite systems to support scalable and fully capable operations. He also added that PredaSAR aims to deliver critical insights and data products to both military and commercial decision-makers at the speed of need.

They are excited to start this new venture and fly with SpaceX, who is a proven launch service provider to further enable the PredaSAR constellation vision of rapid, persistent ISR, anytime and anywhere.
