Nasa Says Vikram Had Hard Landing
NASA has officially released high-resolution images of the Chandrayaan-2 landing site and in a statement said that Vikram Lander had a hard landing.
The released images are of the Chandrayaan-2's Vikram Lander and were captured by the US space agency's Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter during a fly-by on September 17th.
While attempting to soft-land on the Moon's surface, Vikram had lost contact with ISRO and these images released show it had a hard landing instead.
The Orbiter captured the images of the area where Vikram was supposed to land, which was between the two craters Maginus and Clavius.
