ICEYE announces access to its Public Archive of satellite images

ICEYE recently announced access to ICEYE’s Public Archive, containing nearly 18,000 images from ICEYE satellites. Radar imagery is utilized and included by the ICEYE Public Archive in various imaging modes captured with ICEYE’s SAR satellite constellation between mid-2019 and now.

Rafal Modrzewski, CEO and Co-founder of ICEYE mentioned in an ICEYE news release that the ICEYE SAR satellite constellation is here for the global community of decision-makers, data users, and more, to improve their shared world around. He added that the ICEYE Public Archive opens up a unique view of the world, which they invite everyone to explore together with them.

The ICEYE Public Archive can be accessed as a downloadable file through the ICEYE website, showing the locations and time of imaging for each thumbnail in the Archive. After downloading the file, users can open it with their Geographic Information System (GIS) program of choice, for example, Google Earth Pro or QGIS.

Steve Young, Vice President, Business Development and Sales, ICEYE said that every day, ICEYE provides unique access to data and information for their customers that hasn’t been available before. He further added that the ICEYE Public Archive seek to provide additional inspiration for what can be achieved in the future.
